Day 2 - Giza Pyramids

Now the adventure really starts!

Meet the horses and saddle up for an exhilarating ride to the Pyramids of Giza! By the time you get there you will have completely and utterly have fallen in love with your horse.

You will have long gallops and exhilarating races across the sand in the desert on the way.

Dismount in Giza and explore the incredible history while the horses rest. Getting up close to the Great Pyramid and the famous Sphinx on a fascinating tour.

In the afternoon it's time to head to the next destination, with a short, one-hour flight to Luxor. Settle in to your new accommodation in the peaceful village of Ramlah, near the Nile River.

Day 3 - Saqqara, Dashur + Abusir Pyramids

After a hearty breakfast, meet the Luxor horses, and your new ride! Saddle up for your first sights of Luxor on horseback, beginning with the lush green farmland along the Nile River. Pass through quaint village streets and get a glimpse of daily life in rural Egypt. Ride past incredible structures from ancient times including temples, and the massive Colossi of Memnon.

The ride then takes you up the mountain, where you can look across the Valley of the Kings and get stunning views of Luxor and the Nile River in the distance. After a careful descent, continue riding to a desert cave, where you enjoy lunch.

The afternoon ride takes you farther into the desert until you arrive at the campsite, where Bedouin tents await in a picturesque landscape. Dinner is prepared over an open fire as the sun sets behind the mountains. After a delicious meal, relax around the campfire under the stars with a glass of Egyptian tea, the horses resting around you.

Day 4 - Desert Riding + Camping

Wake up to the peaceful desert and the sound of the horses munching on their breakfast. After a traditional Egyptian breakfast, set off to spend the morning exploring the desert, including the “Valley of the Foxes”, where you may spot a desert fox if you are lucky!

The afternoon ride takes us further into the desert. The tough and versatile Baladi horses will amaze you over the challenging terrain, they are sure-footed, brave and have excellent stamina. In the flat expanses, we let loose and let the horses gallop their hearts out! Known for their speed they will flick their tails in the air and race, while you grin and fly with them! Arrive at your new campsite in the early evening for dinner and watch as delicious Bedouin food is prepared in front of you. After, enjoy some traditional Egyptian music while staying warm by the fire.

Day 5 - Desert Riding + Camping

With lunch in our saddle bags we set off for the furthest desert ride. We venture far off the beaten path, and the wide-open space makes us forget all our worries. The mountains still surround us, but take on new appearances as we cross the landscape. Deeper in the desert, the sand begins to become a bit softer and gives us plenty of opportunities for long canters and gallops.

We ride back to camp as the sun begins to set and casts dramatic shadows on the mountains. For dinner, we take part in the preparations, roasting our own vegetables and meat over the fire while the horses enjoy their own well-earned meal. The rest of the evening is spent relaxing, the serene desert atmosphere letting us escape from it all for one last night.

Day 6 - Desert to Nile River

Wake up in nature next to the horses one last time and set of for a long, relaxing ride back to the stables.

The barren desert and mountains eventually turn to green fields, villages, and the Nile River.

The lush farmland and green foliage is refreshing and beautiful change of scenery.

After arriving at the stables and dismounting, you’ll be served a hearty lunch at your accommodation, and freshen up after three nights camping in the desert.

After a few hours of relaxing, you'll be taken on a luxurious private boat ride on the Nile River and be treated to a delicious meal on the water at sunset. In the evening, hang out at the stables and enjoy some drinks and music during your last night!

Day 7 - Ma'salaam, Goodbye!

If you have the time before your flight, tack up for the final time for a casual morning ride.

Otherwise, relax at the stable with the horses, take a dip in the pool, or pick up some last-minute souvenirs to take home.

By now you will have well and truly bonded with your horse, and made lots of everlasting memories together.

It's time for a sad goodbye.

A transfer will take you to the Luxor Airport to catch your flight.
